ACR laminitis heart bar shoe This shoe provides frog support; a very wide cast covers the toe so that it is far back on the foot; 2 quarter clips support the hoof wall (in case of clip loss); toe rolling reduces the rear leverage arm effect; seating out the toe avoids pressure on the sole; tightened at the heel to anticipate the laminitis shaped foot on the rear of the foot when the heels drop (common to all uses of this type of orthopedics); a hollowed out heart regulates the distance from heel to heel (note that this can completely changes the geometry between the front and rear of the foot).
